We point women to Jesus, helping you experience God’s grace as you live your life in our broken world. Our desire is for all women to walk in community with other women, being discipled and discipling others. We do this at Grace by offering a variety of bible studies and events throughout the year.
Take Hold: Strengthening our Grasp of God’s Story
March 21, 2020 // 9A-3P
TAKE HOLD: Strengthening Our Grasp of God’s Story is a seminar designed to help women understand and know the Bible better. The aim of the seminar is to trace the entire story line of Scripture so that rather than approaching the Scriptures with intimidation, confusion or boredom we are able to do so with clarity and confidence in what God is communicating to us, resulting in greater affection for the Savior it reveals.
WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDIES
We offer several ways to get involved with a women’s bible study. All studies take place on Tuesdays.
9:30 – 11A // Jan 7 – May 12, 2020
Woven is our Tuesday morning group. In the spirit of Titus 2:3-5, Woven is a place where women of all seasons weave their lives together as they study the Word in small groups.
7:15 – 8:45P // Sept. 24, 2019 – May 12, 2020
This group is currently full. If interested in participating, please contact the Rooted Ministry Coordinator, Holly Hamilton at email@example.com
Rooted is our Tuesday evening group. We are focused on helping each woman take one step further in being rooted and built up in Christ by studying and applying God’s Word to her daily life while sharing that journey with a community of like-minded women. (based on our theme verse Col. 2:6-7)
The goals of Rooted are to lead each woman to:
- Grow deeper in her personal relationship with God.
- Be transformed by the study of God’s Word.
- Live out God’s will every day.
- Share her life with other women in Christian community.
We study a book of the Bible in our fall study and give you the choice of two studies to choose from for the spring.
Space is limited for each study with groups consisting of 15 members facilitated by trained leaders. If you choose a study group that is already filled, we encourage you to select an open study.
Homework is required for all of the studies. Spending time in the study and in God’s Word throughout the week is important for us to grow in our relationship with Christ. Plan on spending 60-75 minutes during the week to prepare for each Rooted group meeting.
- There will be NO Drop In group this year.
- Online registration will close on Sunday, 9/22/19, at 3:00 PM. Contact Holly Hamilton at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in registering after this time.
- Rooted meets from 9/24/19 – 5/12/20 from 7:15 – 8:45 PM.
Fall 2019 Study: Genesis – LifeChange Series
The book of Genesis is all about beginnings. God creates the heavens, the earth, plants and animals, men and women. When rebellion breaks out, God begins the task of mending His relationship with humanity and all creation. The stories that unfold in this extraordinary book grapple with some of our deepest questions: Who am I? Why are we here? Is there a God? Does He love me? To answer these questions, we have to start from the beginning.
Spring 2020 Study (Track 1): The New Christian Handbook – Everything Believers Need to Know by Max Anders
Are you new to Christianity and/or want a refresher on what, exactly, Christians believe? This study will take you through all of the fundamental Christian tenets and help you apply them to your everyday life. Learn what God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit have done for the world and for you. Gain a better understanding of the spiritual world, salvation, and the Bible.
Spring 2020 Study (Track 2): Planted by Gretchen Saffles and Kara Holmes for Well-Watered Women Ministries
The life of a believer goes through seasons. Some are for planting, some for watering, some for pruning, and some for growing. In every season, we can be rooted deeply in the Lord by practicing the spiritual disciplines we find in His Word. This study examines 12 spiritual disciplines modeled by Jesus and how we can apply them to our daily lives.
