Mitchel Lee, Lead Pastor
My family and I have been attending Grace for 10 years. I have a heart for welcoming refugees and engaging younger men and women over discipleship-related topics: especially how the Gospel informs and challenges our views of the world.
I can fish for days (believe me, I have.) Fly rod, spin rod, you name it. If there’s a body of water with fish in it, I will pull something out.
My wife, Sarah, and I have 5 kids: Calvin, Noah, Ben, Bea, and Owen. We enjoy Shabbat meals, Saturday soccer, and the outdoors. Sarah and I enjoy finding new places to eat, explore, and agenda-free chats over cups of coffee.
A random fact you may not know about me: I still have my lower front baby teeth! For some reason they never came out.
Paul Watson
I have been coming to Grace since 1993 when it was a church of about 450 people. My oldest was a high schooler at the time and part of the very first high school ministry at Grace.
Susan and I have been married 51 years as of June, 2022. The Lord gave us 3 children: Luke is a colonel in the US Marine Corpse stationed in Okinawa, Japan for 3 years. He and Karen have 3 children, Trevor, Elorah, and Jeriah ages 11 to 3. Forrest is a college professor of marketing in Turkey, transitioning to Dickenson College this summer. He and Kara have 4 children, Bannner, Aslan, River, and Brave. Banner went to heaven 4 years ago as a 6-year-old and the other 3 are ages 8 to 2. Ariell is a chaplain in the health care world (nursing homes and hospitals), currently in Indiana but relocating to Missouri this summer with her spouse. We are all outdoor people, enjoying hiking, water sports, camping and so on. Given the significant distances which separate us, we don’t get to do those things too often but we sure do Skype a lot!
Susan and I have been deeply involved in discipleship and evangelism for almost our entire married life as part of The Navigators. Our specific passion is to begin investing in newly wed couples, prior to their having children. We get them started in their marriage and parenting as we give them the vision, character, and the know how to be reproducing Kingdom laborers for the rest of their lives.
If I had all the time in the world, I would… I love to work with my hands, especially carpentry work. You can add to that reading (nonfiction mostly), golf, and bike riding with Susan. Nothing beats playing with my grandchildren!
I spent a college summer hitch hiking through Europe and had such a good time that I took my new bride back. We spent a full year, hitch hiking and camping through Europe and North Africa as newlyweds serving missionaries in practical ways.
Chris Wolf
I have attended Grace since 1994 and have served in many capacities. I joined the staff team in 2018.
Peggy and I have been married since 2000 and we love to travel, hike, and be with friends and family. We have two daughters Sydney and Sophia and, as a family, we enjoy a good movie together.
I enjoy discipling other men and have a heart and passion for pointing couples to Jesus in their marriage.
My favorite things to do are fly fishing, hiking with my wife, golfing, and generally spending time on any body of water.
A random fact you may not know about me: My nickname as a kid was Bubba.
Moses Alade
I have been at Grace since about 2015.
I am married with three children. My wife’s name is Lilian and my children’s names are Rachel, Michelle and David.
Rachel is finishing her residency as a pediatrician at University of Pittsburg Medical Center. Michelle just completed her graduate degree as Doctor of Physical Therapy. And David is working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and has just completed a major certification and successfully completed a major milestone in his career.
We usually go on vacation together and also take in a show at Sight and Sound.
I serve as an usher and as one of the leaders of the Prayer Ministry. I also support my wife at Beyond ministry.
I also like to go on vacation with my family visiting most parts of the US. I would also like to read more if I had more time.
A random fact you may not know about me: I am learning more about American football so that I can watch and enjoy the game.
Jimmy Wiggs
I started attending Grace in the mid-1980’s, and was asked to join the Elder Team in 1990.
I have 4 children, 2 girls and 2 boys, and 1 grandchild. I was married for 37 years to Susan until God took her home before the pandemic started.
My ministry passion is helping others grow in their knowledge and obedience to Jesus through small-group discipleship.
I have many interests that I tend to cycle through over time. I enjoy software development (yes, for fun), woodworking, reading, crossword and number puzzles, new technology, playing music, photography, and watching movies.
A random fact you may not know about me: I played bass on our worship team from the mid-1980s until the mid-aughts.
John Cho
My wife (Taemi) and I have two wonderful kids. Taemi loves to serve others. Our beautiful daughter Bethany is a dancer and has an eclectic taste around the 3 M’s: movies, music, and musicals. And she’ll definitely bake while coding! Elliot is the family dreamer. And when he’s not doing that — he likes making videos, watching old Pixar movies, eating spicy ramen, and of course playing video games.
We first moved from Northern Virginia to Howard County in 2007. We would on occasion attend Grace when we weren’t able to attend the church we were serving back in Virginia. We really enjoyed being at Grace. In 2012, we decided to settle in Howard County and became members and haven’t looked back since!
I have several ministry passions. Here are a few:
1. I love helping our Youth and College kids see the profound beauty of Jesus!
2. I love working with creatives and the creative arts in finding worshipful ways to express the Living Christ in today’s world!
3. I love looking for ways to help our church rep Christ in the community!
If I could do anything, I’d probably love to travel with some veteran guides to obscure places on the off-beaten path around the world (from God’s natural wonders to ancient civilizations – I’m in!) OR maybe work with some creatives on a super-cool concept that had a tremendous but not-so-obvious purpose (props to Jesus).
A random fact you may not know about me is that I have read the Lord of the Rings like twelve times!
Andre Roy Jr.
Roy party of five has been our calling card for many years. Our oldest son is wrapping up his first year of college. We also have twin daughters who are finishing up their sophomore year in high school. Our girls have only two things in common: their birth date and their parents! Most people don’t even know they are twins. Our family loves the outdoors. Hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking and the like have created many great family memories over the years. Cindy and I are both scientists by trade so we are in awe of God’s creation and our kids have come to appreciate His creative designs. From nights looking into a telescope at distance stars to days peering into a microscope looking for amoebas from the local pond (and everything in between) we can’t help but worship an amazing God.
Our family started attending Grace in 2008. We quickly joined a community group (because someone invited us to join one (hint hint)) and built many relationships that are still strong today. My wife and I have been part of the premarital ministry for 8 years. Cindy and I say we do it for selfish reasons: being around young love has only made our marriage stronger. Cindy and I have been married for 23 years and we feel we are just getting started. The Lord has blessed our marriage and we want to be a blessing to the next generation of marriages.
I enjoy doing anything outdoors. A hike in the woods brings me refreshment. Friends and family around a campfire is an easy way to melt stress off me. I love yard work especially working in the garden with my wife as she tells me what plants we have. For alone time, you can find me sitting in a hammock reading a book as the sound of wind chimes fill the air. If you stop by and see me in the hammock, understand I am in a happy place.
You may not know that English is my second language. My parents immigrated to Maryland in the 70s from a small town outside Quebec, Canada. I spoke only French as a child until I started going to school.
