Middle school student Michael dela Cruz is getting #dunked Baptism Weekend! Here’s why:

I am the vine, you are the branches. Apart from me you can do nothing.” -John 15:5

My name is Michael dela Cruz. I’m almost 13 years old and in 7th grade. The Bible verse from John 15:5 is close to my heart. I believe that everything that I can do is only because God allows me to do it. Everything that I accomplish, whether in school or sports, is because God allows me to do it. Just like the branch of the tree that dies if it gets cut off from the trunk, I, too will die if separated from my Savior.

I want to be baptized because I put my trust in the Lord. I want to publicly declare that Jesus is my Vine, and I am His branch.

Baptism at Grace

During all worship gatherings on Baptism Weekends, we celebrate the very reason we exist as a church: Christ’s mission to make disciples, baptizing and teaching in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28: 19-20). We share testimonies of how Jesus changes lives now and for eternity. And the best part… we baptize with a joy that’s out of this world!
