Student Friend of Grace
I’m having a harder time staying motivated with school and resisting distractions and the temptation to procrastinate during the day. I try to be a really good student, and I do really want to do well and glorify God in my studies. But I feel like I’m always constantly buried in school, I don’t have very much time to pursue some of my passions outside of school which can tempt me to resent the work I’m doing even though I know it’s good work. I don’t really want my work ethic to be circumstantial (i.e. I only do good work when I know there will be free time at the end of the day/week or I’ll have an instant reward.) I want to do my best work not for a good grade or for free time but because it’s going to please the Lord, and I want to do my best work regardless of whether I’ve had a tough week or an easy one. I’ve tried a lot of different things to avoid distractions and stay motivated, but I haven’t made nearly as much progress as I would like. Prayers would be very much appreciated (especially that I wouldn’t stop trying, even if progress in this issue is slow.) Thank you all so much for your help! I appreciate it a great deal, and it really means a lot to me. 🙂 🙂 🙂
