I grew up learning about Christ but I never paid attention to Him. Back in 6th grade, I didn’t know what would happen to me. I was scared and hopeless. I was so worried about the future, and I never paid attention to the one true God.

My brother, Nathan, understood what I was going through and encouraged me to read the Bible more, and our conversations gave me hope. Later that night I prayed and asked God to forgive me for my sins.

I feel so much happier now that I had the courage to do so. 1 Peter 2:9 is a verse that means a lot to me. It says, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

I am in 7th grade now, and I know and love Christ more. Today at this very moment God is showing me that I am important to Him. I am being baptized because I think it is time to tell the world that I love the one true God.
