GRACE STUDENTS FALL RETREAT // OCT 16-17

Parents, maybe you have not noticed yet, but our retreat is this weekend! Our theme is “Follow Me” based on the passage in Luke 9:23-24. Your student will not want to miss this retreat. Yes, it is different, but leave it to God to move in big ways during the difficult and different times. Click the link below to register today. See you soon!

SERVE

We cannot do this retreat without help. We still have serving opportunities that need to be filled. Would you please consider using this weekend to serve alongside student ministry as we are all seeking the glory of God through every aspect of the weeknd.

  • 1 Nurse
  • 3 Security
  • 2 Check in
  • 3 Food / Snacks Friday night (may come and go if need be)
  • 4 Food / Snacks Saturday (may come and go if need be)

INVITE

Retreats are often the best time to invite friends to get plugged into a Christ centered community and hear the gospel. The message this coming weekend is the gospel. We have fallen short of the glory of God and are in desperate need of redemption. Praise be to God for His Son Jesus Christ! All call to students here! Invite as many people as you can! We have scholarships to help with any financial needs. We want to make it possible for every person to come on the retreat. See you and your friends there!

Encouragement from Nathanael

One of my favorite passages in scripture is Philippians 3:8 – “Indeed, I count everything as loss for the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.

This verse reminds me to “count” the things in my life. Count what matters most? A great conversation to have with your family this week could be to ask yourself, your kids, and your spouse, “what matters most?” I find this passage helpful in the busiest times to reset my mind on Christ and the truth that his magnification and glory is what our lives should reflect.

Praying this week that this verse encourages your family.

Blessings,

Grace Students Team
