Watch Kalei get #dunked at the 9:15 gathering this morning! Here’s her story:

My name is Kalei Takasaki and I am 12 years old. Jesus has always been a part of my life. I have grown up in a Christian home, and have always been part of a church community. I accepted Jesus when I was seven years old in kidZone at Grace Community Church.

I really started to grow in my faith when I was being tested for dyslexia. I struggled a lot in school and didn’t understand why I had so much trouble. When I found out that I am dyslexic my life started to change. I learned that my brain works a little differently, and am now being taught in a way that is better for me. Through this struggle, I began to fully understand that God loves me no matter what and that I was beautifully and wonderfully made. This was a huge milestone in my faith.

I want to get baptized because I want to publicly show my love for Jesus Christ and share His love with others.

Baptism at Grace

During all worship gatherings on Baptism Weekends, we celebrate the very reason we exist as a church: Christ’s mission to make disciples, baptizing and teaching in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28: 19-20). We share testimonies of how Jesus changes lives now and for eternity. And the best part… we baptize with a joy that’s out of this world!
