Your Grace Kids resources for the week of May 25
Continue to memorize and talk about Psalm 23. Work on adding verse 5: “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”
Check out the videos below to help you memorize Psalm 23 with sign language!
Read Joshua 2 and then, Matthew 1:1-6. Questions to discuss:
– What name do you recognize in the Matthew passage? (Rahab joined God’s people and became the far-off grandmother of King David, who was the far off grandfather of Jesus. So that means that Rahab was the far-off grandmother of Jesus!)
– How are we like Rahab? (Rahab was a sinner whom God saved. We too are sinners whom God saves. Like Rahab, we deserve God’s judgment for our sin, but receive his mercy and forgiveness instead.)

See who learns to boil eggs in a hot spring, takes a dip in a jungle waterfall, and decks out in local garb at the mosque.
Read Joshua 6 and learn about the archeological evidence that the story happened just as told in the Bible by watching ‘What Really Happened at Jericho?’ — a Drive Thru History video.
Talk about it:
- What caused the walls of Jericho to fall down? (The power of God caused the walls to fall.)
- When have we seen God provide for us in a way that we know it was clearly God’s power and grace that accomplished it? (Parents, this is a great opportunity to share stories of what God has done from your past that your kids may not know about.)
