A Prayer for Students/Families/Educators  //  Read Philippians 4:6-7, Romans 5:3-4, Psalm 32:8

Lord, today we pray for the students in our families, in our church and throughout our community. We pray that you will help us to navigate through this difficult season of isolation and virtual learning as well as for those students who have returned back to in-school learning. We especially pray today for those families with special needs children, single parents juggling work and helping their child each day, and those with large families all trying to “do school” under the same roof.
God, we ask you to give parents wisdom, endurance and perseverance today and in the days to come, and for you to draw us all close to you, Father. We need you now more than ever. Help us to cast all of our anxieties on you and draw strength from your presence each day. We pray that in this time of isolation from the world that you would bring us together in our homes.
Lastly Lord, we remember the educators who are working hard each day to help our kids learn. Please guide, direct and encourage them, Lord, and help them to persevere during this incredible time in our history.
Amen.

Philippians 4:6-7

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Romans 5:3-4

3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;

4 perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Psalm 32:8

8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
