THE GOSPEL PROJECT// THE BIG STORY
The Bible is not a collection of stories. It is one story of God’s plan to rescue His people from sin and death. It is the story of redemption, the gospel message of Jesus Christ. And it’s our story, too.
What are some ways you can emphasize to your baby/toddler the uniqueness of the Bible?
Allow babies and toddlers to handle the Bible. Keep a basket of hand-sized New Testaments in your room for children to hold.
Tell the Bible story with a Bible open. Even if you are telling the Bible story in your own words or using the Bible story lesson, open a Bible in front of them so they can make the connection.
Use gospel-themed picture books and board books in the proper context. These types of books may help drive home the Bible story theme, but there is only one book that provides God’s message of salvation through His Son, Jesus.
