We point women to Jesus, helping you experience God’s grace as you live your life in our broken world.  Our desire is for all women to walk in community with other women, being discipled and discipling others. We do this at Grace by offering a variety of bible studies and events throughout the year.

Women’s Bible Studies

Woven & Rooted coming in the Fall! Look for registration in August.

Woven - October 3, 2023 - May 7, 2024

In the spirit of Titus 2:3-5, Woven is a place where women of all seasons weave their lives together as they study the Bible in small groups. We encourage one another to pursue Christ, study the Bible, spend time in prayer, and make meaningful contributions to our groups. To prepare expect about 60-75 minutes of homework a week as usual.

This year we will be studying the following books:

Fall Study Book:  From Beginning to Forever (with video access) by Elizabeth Woodson

Spring Study Book: No Other God (with video access) by Kelly Minter // No Other God (without video access)

Note: For the spring, there is a choice to purchase a book that includes video access or one without. Purchase whichever version you feel will be most helpful to you. We will not regularly be watching these videos together.

If you require a scholarship please contact Kathy Petersen, the Director of Adult Ministries, at womensministry@grace.community.

All our Woven meetings are offered without cost. We rely completely on God for provision through the generosity and faithfulness of our members for everything we need to share the Word, fellowship together, and care for the children during our time together. If you would like to support the ministry, you can do that with a one-time donation or donate cash in our weekly collection bins. The cost to fully fund Woven is about $3 a week/per woman or $75 a year.

WOVEN Childcare Birth to PreK:

1.     Please register yourself first and then your children.

2.     We are requesting that all mothers using Woven Birth to PreK Childcare volunteer. You will be asked to serve in the children’s areas on a rotating basis throughout the year (approx. 4 times a year)

WOVEN Homeschool Class:

A homeschool Bible class for children ages kindergarten and older meets during our meeting time. This class is for school-aged children to attend while their mothers are attending Woven. Opportunities for serving in the birth to PreK area are available for students ages 6th grade and up. If you have a student in 6th grade or older, please indicate if they are interested in serving in childcare when you register them. We will contact you with more information if they are interested in serving in childcare.

If you’d like to inquire about registering for Woven, please contact womensministry@grace.community.

Rooted - September 26, 2023 - April 30, 2024

Rooted registration has reached max capacity.

Rooted groups will meet Tuesday evenings and will focus on helping each woman take one step further in being rooted and built up in Christ by studying and applying God’s Word to her daily life while sharing that journey with a community of like-minded women. (Based on our theme verses: Col. 2:6-7) This year, we will be offering both in-person meetings and online group meetings. Online participation is reserved for women with health conditions, who are immuno-compromised, or lack childcare.

Fall Study: What Is Love, The Letters of 1, 2, and 3 John by Kelly Minter: The letters of 1, 2, and 3 John define love in the person of Jesus and they call us to love like He loved. John anchors us with truth in a culture that has lost its way. He separates light from darkness, offers community for loneliness, and rest for our striving. Throughout these letters, John assures us: we can know that we know Jesus.

Spring Study: Desperate for Hope, Questions We Ask God in Suffering, Loss, and Longing by Vaneetha Risner. Nothing raises hard questions like suffering in the life of a Christian: Why am I going through this? What did I do wrong? What if this never gets better? Is God really there and does He care about me? Desperate for Hope guides us through the journey of finding hope in our pain. In the end, we’ll find that the answer to all of our questions is found in the character, goodness, and sovereignty of God.

There is no charge to participate in Rooted. You will be required to purchase the Bible study books we’ll be using on your own. Both books are widely available via major sites like Amazon.com, Lifeway.com, and Christian Book Distributors.

Notes:

1. Rooted will meet 7:15 – 8:45P starting on September 26, 2023 and completing on April 30, 2024.

2. Homework is required for both of the studies. Plan on spending 60-90 minutes during the week to prepare for each Rooted group meeting.

3. Rooted Registration has reached max capacity.
