Prior to coming to Grace Community Church, my life as a “Christian” was filled with days and choices that tended to bring me the consequences of living according to my own will, me first not Christ first. I never chose to understand the teaching of the gospel anymore than what was said to me at Sunday service at the church I had been attending.
After a few years of attending Grace, I felt there was something more and I was missing it, so I decided to join the women’s Rooted group on Tuesday nights. It was there that I met some of the most wonderful women, many of whom are my good friends now, and it also was there that I also truly met Jesus Christ. I was also invited to join a small group Bible study!! Through these avenues, I have truly begun “my walk” and I have begun to feel a closer relationship with the God I thought I knew.
My eyes were opened to the beauty of the truth and a real relationship with Christ! I feel the transformation of Christ working on my heart. And I realize it was him pursuing me all my life, I just didn’t recognize that! Thank you Jesus!
Now as I continue to seek and feel this transformation, I am excited to take this next step and publicly proclaim that I accept Christ in my life, to show my love for him and dedicate my life as a child of God.
