My name is Deandra Torian and I’m 14 years old. I was raised in a Christian household, but I didn’t know who Jesus really was until I was 4 years old. I started to understand what Jesus did for me and what his purpose was for me. I took Jesus as my personal Savior at 8 years old, when I was in the 3rd grade. Jesus is my best friend. He has lifted rocks I couldn’t lift at times, and for that I’m thankful. If it was not for God, I don’t know what I would be doing.

I know that Jesus loved me so much that he died for my sins. He rose on third day from the dead so that I could live with him eternally. Jesus also said in Matthew 28:19, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” I want to be baptized like Jesus and I want all mankind to know that I love the Lord Jesus.

I am choosing to get baptized because I have come to a point where I want to show that I want to be closer to God and build a stronger relationship with him. Last year on Easter 2018 I was thinking about being baptized. This year 2019, I wanted to go all in! Easter is just a very special day we should cherish. I want to share this moment with anyone and everyone. Everybody deserves to know who God is so that they can see how he can work his blessings and wonders on them.
