I was born into a Christian family and was christened when I was just a baby. My mom and my dad got divorced a few months after. Then, as I grew up, my mom started to go to a church and pushed me to go with her. I was okay with that at first, but then I got bored and angry because everything seemed to be about the church and I didn’t have a childhood.
When I turned 15, my mom said that it was okay if I decided not to go to church anymore. That was kind of a relief for me. Years later, I started to go to parties, drinking, smoking, and doing all those things I thought teenagers were “supposed” to do. I saw myself surrounded by a lot of “friends,” but I knew something was missing.
My mom and I moved to a house near a Christian church, and I felt that I should stop by and see what happened. The first day that I went there I felt Jesus in that place and I knew he had something for me.
Since that day my life changed completely! Now I am not afraid anymore. I know that I can trust him, that he is always with me. No matter what happens, if I pray and ask Jesus with all my heart, he will help me. I trust in Jesus, I want to follow him, I want to obey him, I want to give him everything I have and everything I am. I love him with all my heart and soul, I want to live with him for eternity, and I want to serve him.
Jesus saved me and gave me a second chance. He is showing me in my heart what to do, and I will do it. I want to get baptized as a sign that I’ve accepted Jesus. Because I am his and he is mine!
